 Tagorians, on the behalf of the RTSS staff, we would like to wish you and your family a Happy New Year 2010! A warm welcome for the new year 2010, welcome Aboard!

The year 2010 announces with a newly setup up website for the Rabindranath Tagore Secondary School. The website (http://www.rtss.ac.mu) is the first website in Mauritius which provides an ideal platform for Students, Teachers and ex-RTSS students to be in touch, to share experience and to exchange views on current issues in real-time.

RTSS Online! combines various elements of Web 2.0. This shall permit students and as well as their parents to learn the effective use of the World Wide Web.

The various features of the new websites are:

  • Dynamic website - the content are updated on a regular basis by the RTSS Web Team
  • @rtss.ac.mu email address for each and every tagorians
  • Online presentation of the departments of RTSS
  • Student Community - RTSS Online! aims to be the 'Facebook for Tagorians'
  • Blog - News and articles are posted by teachers, web team
  • Forum - 2-way discussion where students can post topics. Forums are moderated by teachers/ web Team
  • Online presence via RTSS Online! in web 2 sites: Facebook , Twitter, YouTube, Friendfeed, Flickr etc.
  • Dynamic Calendar
  • Updated News via netvibes.com and local newspaper websites
  • Dynamic Photo Gallery. Photo commenting on uploaded photos is possible
  • Website security - All the content are moderated and website upgrades are performed regularly
  • State-of-the art design: Graphics, Animations
  • Last but not the Least: eLearning Platform
